Marble Medical Center proudly participated in the Summer Camp organized by Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), contributing to its mission of empowering the community through knowledge and wellness education.

Our Family Medicine Specialist, Dr. Doaa Azzam, delivered an insightful lecture on “The Impact of Food on Mood, Depression, and General Health.” The session shed light on the powerful link between nutrition and mental health, explaining how the food we consume can influence brain chemistry, emotional stability, and overall well-being.

Dr. Doaa explored key topics such as the role of vitamins and minerals in mood regulation, the impact of sugar and processed foods on mental balance, and the benefits of nutrient-rich diets in preventing and managing depression. She also offered practical advice on creating balanced meal plans, incorporating mood-boosting foods, and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits to support both mental and physical health.

Participants engaged enthusiastically, sharing experiences and asking thought-provoking questions, which turned the lecture into an interactive and educational exchange. The session not only provided valuable knowledge but also encouraged attendees to take proactive steps toward healthier living.
